The CL1356T5 is a top-of the line reader for ICAO recommandations compliant ID documents. It allows opened passport reading, multi-activation and extended cases APDU. The CL1356T5 is only powered by its USB bus.
The CL1356T5 reader is one of the fastest ePassport readers on the market and is the one with the greatest reading distance.
Its thin external antenna and long reading range allow an easy integration in a narrow place or under a table. The CL1356T5 reader configuration tool provides three standard set of parameters:
- "ICAO" mode which is strictly ICAO recommendations compliant. Unfortunatly a lot of passports will not work in this mode., as they are not fully compliant with the specifications.
- "DEFAULT" mode allowing the reading of passport with small deviations. This mode is convenient for almost currently available passports.
- "AUTO" mode searching for the working point of a non ICAO compliant passport.
The CL1356T5 reader is available in an OEM version on demand.
