The user's BIOCard® is a Java 2.2 smartcard dedicated to security applications and electronic identity documents. It is also suitable for highly secure and easy access control such as in Airports. The BIOCard® embeds a powerful and high speed bioengine allowing a 1 to 1 or 1 to N fingerprint template matching. The card can store up to 10 owner's fingerprints. The fingerprint recognition takes less than 1 second. The algorithm accuracy and the unauthorized access attempt before card locking in case of recognition failure are ajustable by enrolment authority.
The BIOCard® embeds a true On-Card-Comparison or Match-On-Smart card. It never needs to preprocess even partially the fingerprint template oustide the card. Basically, BIOCard® holds an efficient files system compliant with the ISO7816 (-4) standard provided with added biometrics access conditions.
The BIOCard® possesses all up-dated cryptogaphics services indispensable to PKI applications (RSA) and also has the necessary function for safe data storage (identity, identifier, password, credentials or other sensitive informations). The RSA keys can be downloaded or basically generated on board for more security. the DES or triple DES functions are available for encryption or decryption operations; They can be used to carry out a mutual authentication.
The BIOcard® is compatible with the PKCS#15, ITU-X509 standards and most of PKI applications (keys managment, certificates, digital signature,...).
The BIOCard® is delivered in blank white PVC. It exists in contact only or in dual mode (contact and contactless). For all other options, please, contact us.
