BIOthentIC® is a smart card reader combined with a fingerprint reader, with very high performances, perfect for users willing to have a ever lasting workmate in the field of logical security respecting private property.
Integrating On Card comparison, Match-on-Card, technologie (bioengine embedded in the card), the BIOthentIC® range is designed to secure data and transactions keeping in mind that private data cannot be exposed for any malicious person.
When enrolling a new user, the user's fingerprint is stored inside the smart card chip (user BIOCarte®). Then, for authentication, the matching is done inside the card. Private data are always hidden and never transmitted outside the card. This process is also fully encrypted for a maximum security. When positive authentication, the user card is unlock to allow electronic secure transactions.
Derived from the infra-red vision, the thermal sensor detects the slightest heat flow from the skin surface. Even the most difficult fingers are perfectly detected and accurately reproduced.

BIOthentIC® equiped with BIOSam® (named also enrolment module), authentication and enrolment station. The attendance of the secure module SAM (BIOSam®) allows the writing of private data and fingerprint template inside the smart card BIOCarte®.
BIOthentIC® is also available with Orcanthus® Security Suite™ our complete software suites, allowing the most advance secure solution for computers or networks.
A software development kit, BIOthentIC® SDK, is available for those willing to integrate BIOthentIC® in their application.
